CHECK OUT MALAYSIA’S VERY FIRST PASTRY FESTIVAL!

The first-of-its-kind pastry event will be making its debut in Malaysia on December 16, 2017. If you love all things bread, cake, pie and pastry, then get your butt over to the Academy Pastry Festival Malaysia 2017.

The fair will feature world-class pastries, intricate hand-crafted sugar and chocolate sculptures, trial classes and Academy Alumni booths.

This institute isn’t some no-name brand. They are actually a premier professional school which houses a number of International Award-Winning Chefs.

They teach, and continue to hone students’ skills while churning out world class pastries on a weekly basis, unbeknownst to the residents of Petaling Jaya.

Chef Niklesh Sharma, the Founder and Managing Director of the Academy of Pastry Arts, explained that their creations aren’t just foods but also art.

He said,

“Many of the pastries created at the academy are competition worthy and generally served only at fine-dining establishments.

“Our students are passionate, and cannot wait to showcase their learnings to all Malaysians. There is so much skill involved in creating these works of edible art.”

For this event, all students will be participating, including some of the alumni.

“Part-time as well as full timers who are at various stages of our signature 9-month Professional Advanced Diploma programme will be involved.

“We are also inviting some of our alumni to join us, in effort to support their businesses, and continue sharing our knowledge with them.”

Best part is, there will be sale booths set up inside the kitchens so you can purchase all those quality delicacies and explore their kitchenette.

You can taste all their delectables such as chocolates, cookies, french pastries, travel cakes, viennoiseries, breads, savoury items and more.

To make things so much more awesome, the money you pay for those desserts will actually go towards the Academy of Pastry Arts Scholarship Fund! So it’s a win-win situation, lah.

The scholarship department works closely with the Shelter Home for Children based in Petaling Jaya where the funds will be channeled to.

“We truly hope to share our passion with all Malaysians, and to not only develop further appreciation and understanding of Pastry Arts as a whole, but also as a rewarding career choice.”

To add on to the excitement of going into this world of desserts, people can participate in a trial class run by the Academy’s own award-winning chefs. Classes are limited so sign up quick for a peek into what the 9-month course is like.

Don’t worry about paying for the trial class because it is completely free. Yes, you read that right, FREE! Go over to the academy’s Facebook page ASAP and give your full name, contact number and email address.
