On April 10th, 2018, Tan Sri Mohd Hashim Abdullah has just announced the date for the 14th General Election!
The date is May 9th, a Wednesday. The early voting will fall on May 5th.
Meanwhile, the candidates for the next prime minister will be announced on April 28th.
If you’re unsure of where you’re supposed to vote and how, you can check out the Election Commission of Malaysia’s website for more information.
Your voting area is dependent on where your address is (or was) when you first registered. To change your voting location, you must do so manually at the government office.
However, for now, it is too late for you to change your voting location due to time restraint.
So, for those of you whose voting locations are very far away, remember to take leaves from work if necessary.
Remember, every vote counts so let’s all do our part by casting our votes this year.
