Despite her active involvement in social work, Malaysia’s No. 1 singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin has no plans to chart a career in politics.
“It’s true I’ve been actively involved in social work since my appointment as a member of Akademi Seni dan Warisan (Aswara)’s Board of Directors and a member of Yayasan Pintar’s Board of Trustees.
“Politics is not where I belong. I’m more comfortable as a performer and entertaining my fans,” said the Anta Permana singer in a news report today.
On her 40th birthday celebration which will fall on Jan 11, Siti said there was nothing else she would want besides good health and to be able to continue serving the society.
“After all, I’ve already received the most priceless gift, my daughter, Siti Aafiyah,” she said.
