Mulan is a familiar name for every one, as it is a must watch childhood Disney movie for all!
But when a cartoon comes to life, everyone wonders who could take on the role of our favourite characters. Well, it been known that Chinese actress, Liu Yi Fei, will be acting as Hua Mulan, the female lead role.
Now, it was announced that superstar Donnie Yen will be starring in live adaption of Mulan too!
According to Next Shark, Donnie has been added to the movie as Commander Tung, who acts as a teacher and mentor to Mulan.
Donnie is internationally famous for his epic roles in Star Wars: Rogue One, the IP Man Series, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, and many more.
He is also one of the top Hong Kong action stars for his ability in multiple martial arts.
This amazing man knows tai chi, boxing, kickboxing, jeet kune do, hapkido, taekwondo, karate, muay thai, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, wushu and of course wing chun.
This will be the second big-budget Disney film for Yen after Star Wars: Rogue One. He also just started filming for the fourth series of Ip Man.
Yifei is also a well known female actress in China where she is known as the Fairy Sister in the entertainment industry for her sweet and delicate image.
She acted in multiple movies and dramas too such as Love in Disguise, A Chinese Fairy Tale, Once Upon a Time, and The Return of the Condor Heroes.
The movie is initially set to release in this year and is predicted to hit the theatres on March 27th, 2020.
Although the complete list of cast has yet to be released, fans of Mulan are still hyped up from the announcement of these two famous stars.
