The country’s foremost entertainer, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza continues to shine locally and internationally.
After being recognised as among The World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims for four consecutive years, the 39-year-old artiste has been named Malaysia’s Tourism Icon of the Year yesterday.
She received the recognition for her longtime efforts to promote Malaysian tourism domestically and internationally, at the Gold Awards 2018, organised by the Malaysia Tourism Council (MTC) held at The Palace Of Golden Horses Hotel, Seri Kembangan.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you so much, Malaysia Tourism Council for the honour,” said Siti in an Instagram post yesterday.
The post was accompanied by a photo of her receiving the award from Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
Her fans and followers who were thrilled for her achievement, flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.
The annual Gold Awards recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to the country’s tourism industry.
