MyCreative Ventures Sdn. Bhd. presents its third art exhibit featuring artworks by some of the country’s newest talents. The week-long exhibit will take place at Ken Gallery in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, a recent addition to the list
of art spaces in the Klang Valley.

22 promising artists will feature their creations in the showcase which will run from the 16th till the 23rd of November 2018.

VAP 3 will feature the selected artworks of the visual arts initiative, now in its third year running comprising of sculptures, paintings, drawings, photography and installation artworks.

The finalists include young artists from varied backgrounds and practices such as Design, Illustration, Fine Art, Fashion and even Medicine.

Some are self-taught, some are students of UiTM, UKM and Monash University while others are corporate professionals.

The objective of the initiative has always been to reach out to the youth by providing them with a promotional opportunity to the visual artists driving the Malaysian contemporary art scene as well as a platform for the industry experts to discover fresh talents.

“We are indeed blessed to have an abundance of talented, hardworking people in the Malaysian visual arts community where artists and curators work together tirelessly to enhance and develop the industry,” says MyCreative Group CEO Riza Saian.

He also added,

“The Malaysian creative industry remains to be largely untapped with a promising market of passionate artists and curators who are potentially art entrepreneurs and business owners in search of the right platforms to expand.”

VAP 3.0 is a visual arts competition initiated by MyCreative Ventures for Malaysians aged 18 to 35. Contestants submitted paintings, drawings, sculptures and even photography as long as it is the original, non-commissioned artwork by the contestants themselves.

The competition awards a total of RM15,000 worth of cash prizes to the top three winners of VAP 3.0. The launch and awards will take place on Friday, 16th November from 8 pm till 10 pm.
