Many fans know how difficult it is to debut as an idol. Many of the people whom have actually debuted have often shared the struggles of their trainee days.

Training to become an idol is tough af. There are way too many talented people but not all of them can see the chance of becoming famous. In fact, some people never even get to see themselves becoming an idol after many years of training.

On April 6th, 2018 at around 8.27pm, the Busan police received a phone call about an attempted suicide.

The witness said,

“Someone went into the sea at Gwangalli. He’s neck-deep in the water now.”

Koreaboo reported that the police officers jumped into the sea to rescue the man after arriving at the scene. The officers checked for any injuries and found none, and so they sent him home to his parents.

One of the police officers told the press,

“We told him to not lose hope in his dreams and carry on. We plan to help him get professional help that he can talk to as well.”

Investigations revealed that the 25-year-old man has been a trainee under a famous entertainment agency but failed to debut. So, he went over to Busan and worked odd jobs for a year.

When he heard of the news of an idol from the same agency killing himself, he too started to mull over suicide. He was upset about his failure of becoming an idol.

Because of this info, many netizens believe that the agency this trainee is from is SM Entertainment and the idol who killed himself in question is SHINee’s Kim Jonghyun.

Though this clue hasn’t been announced as the truth, it is safe to say that Jonghyun’s sudden death has definitely shook the country.
