“I Lost Passion for Dancing…” Taemin Tells the Truth

Anyone who is a fan of SHINee will know that the youngest member, Taemin, is a dancing machine. He will usually be in the front of dance breaks in any of their choreography because he is that good at it.

However, it seems that recently things have affected Taemin’s love for dancing.

On May 2nd, 2018, Taemin attended the press conference for a new JTBC4 variety show called The Dancer along with Kikwang and Eunhyuk, Koreaboo reported.

The SHINee member told the press,

“My passion for dancing was dying.

“And right when I was having those feelings, the show helped me realise how much I actually love to dance. So I felt joyful rather than feeling competitive with the hyungs.

“It could be negatively perceived when I said I lost passion for dancing.

“In the past, happiness was dancing for me but I can’t always be only liking dance. I was finding joy in other activities and that’s when the joy of dancing came back to me through the show.”

In recent years, Taemin has been becoming busy with other activities such as acting and mentoring. In 2017, he became a mentor on The Unit which is a survival show specifically for idols.

He also received the opportunity to star in a Japanese drama named Final Life: Even if You Disappear Tomorrow alongside Shota Matsuda.

It is relieving to hear that Taemin has found his interesting in dancing once again. The Dancer will be airing its first episode on May 5th, 2018.
