BTS Gains More Fame While Impersonator Fools People on the Streets of Seattle

BTS is once again nominated for the Top Social Artist award for the second time. That’s two years in a row!

Talk about huge popularity and great fanbase – BTS definitely has it all!

According to Allkpop, the group has just been nominated for the award by Billboard Music Awards and fans all over the world are thrilled by this good news.

BTS took home the Top Social Artist award last year at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards despite competing against with top stars such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes.

But now, their high popularity has given them yet another chance to take home the award.

On April 17th, Billboard revealed the nomination list and BTS was among the Top Social Artist nominees once again for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.

Although there are lots of big shots fighting for the award this year, BTS’s fame will for sure ease them in getting the award. ARMYs all over the world, are you all ready to get this award for BTS?

Meanwhile, because BTS is just so darn famous in the whole world now, people are taking them as icons. From the way they dress to the way they speak, fans try to imitate every BTS member.

As for Kai Watson who is a YouTuber, he felt that emulating BTS members as a whole, including their fame, would be more interesting.

Kai invited his friend, Dave, to impersonate one of the members by dressing him up in stylish clothes, big sunglasses and a face mask, and even adding security guards and paparazzi around him. All for the sake of a prank.

They wandered around the streets of Seattle to attract people’s attention.

Lots of people fell for the trick while the actors walked along the streets. People started asking for photos as soon as they realised it was a ‘BTS member’.

The prank not only tricked locals, South Koreans who were on holiday in the States totally fell for it too.

Some of the funny comments for the video include:

“Great idea for a video, I feel bad for the fans.”

“The struggles of an international ARMY.”

“I love how they don’t even know who it is and take pics.”
