Demi Lovato Rushed to Hospital After Apparent Overdose

Demi Lovato was rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after an apparent overdose, E! reported.

Apparently, she was in a home in the Hollywood Hills when she allegedly overdosed on heroin. The Los Angeles Police received a call at around 11.40AM local time.

When the news of Demi’s health condition broke, other celebrities such as Ellen Degeneres, Nick Jonas, Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello, etc. shared out love and prayers for her.

Even hashtags such as #prayfordemi and #staystrongdemi has started trending on Twitter.

Her mother, Dianna De La Garza and 16-year-old sister, Madison De La Garza, are both with her in the hospital right now.

Thankfully, Demi is in a stable condition.

The famous singer’s representative told the press,

“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support.

“Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

It is known that Demi has been suffering from depression and addiction for many years now. She has also often written about it in her songs.

The clearest lyrics which explained her situation would have to be Sober where it goes,

“Mama, I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore, and Daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor.

“To the ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before. I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.”

Mental health is just as important as physical health and we must take care of both well. If ever you are feeling depressed, don’t hesitate to reach out to others.
