Veteran actor and comedian Zaibo feels humbled when he was visited by Johor royal couple Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim and Dennis Muhammad Abdullah recently.
“I am grateful and honoured to the Johor royal family for visiting me and cheering me up,” said the 62-year-old veteran artiste in a news report yesterday.
It was reported that Tunku Tun Aminah and her husband paid a visit to Zaibo whose real name is Zainal Ariffin Abd Hamid at his home in Rengit, Batu Pahat, Johor, after reading about his plight in the newspapers.
In an Insta-story video uploaded on @theroyaljohor Instagram account, it showed Tunku Tun Aminah chatting with Zaibo who has starred in TV sitcom Spanar Jaya, fantasy musical movie Magika, Awan Dania The Movie, as well as the 1999 Hollywood movie Anna And The King.
“I used to watch Under One Roof growing up. I told my husband how funny you were and showed him videos of you,” she said to the actor who is battling Stage 4 Oesophageal Cancer.
Also accompanying the royal couple were representatives of the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation.
Tunku Tun Aminah’s brother, the late Tunku Jalil Ibni Sultan Ibrahim passed away on Dec 5, 2015, after succumbing to cancer.
