Kris Wu Releases New Single and Returns to The Rap of China

Just less than a month since Kris Wu signed up with Universal Music, he’s releasing new music already.

On May 18th, 2018, the Chinese-Canadian rapper dropped a new track called Like That which has garnered three quarters of a million views by now on YouTube.

Many fans enjoy this soothing version as compared to his other songs Juice, July and Deserve which feels more suitable for parties.

Meanwhile, we can look forward to the second season of Rap of China (R!CH) with Kris as the first producer and judge. He will also be teaming up with Migos and MC Jin in producing this great show.

Migos is an American hip-hop trio made up of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff. The group has continuously stole the top spots in the North American singles chart and even won BET Music Award in 2017.

They were also nominated and won two awards at the 60th Grammy Awards; Best Rap Songs and Best Rap Albums.

On the other hand (spoiler alert!), fans of the R!CH would be all familiar with MC Jin who appeared in Season 1 as Hip Hop Man. As a participant, he set the bar up very high for the others, so you could imagine how much tougher it will be when he joins in as a producer.

This time, instead of just concentrating their entire participant population in China only, the show will set out on a global audition tour. They will be going around multiple countries such as North America, Australia and even Malaysia!

Participants must be 18 years and older with solo or duos only. Groups must not be more than two people.

The audition details in Malaysia have yet to be confirmed but rappers, you best be ready because when they come, it will surely be crowded.

For now, Season 2 started filming in North America on May 20th and 21st, 2018.
