Aside from Malaysia, Taipei is the second most popular destination—followed by Bangkok and Tokyo!

Besides Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Penang, Langkawi, Genting, Kota Kinabalu and Malacca are the locals’ favourites when celebrating the start of the new decade without having to be far from home.

Meanwhile, as for travel destination; homeland Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia remain as the top three countries for travel among Malaysians.

Local travelers were busy exploring the country’s many beautiful cities in 2019, with nine out of the top 10 cities being local destinations.
