BIGBANG‘s T.O.P had his final day of public servant on July 6th, signaling he’s officially discharged from the military.
On the day, dedicated fans of T.O.P had gone so far in making sure their favourite celebrity came back in peace without the pressure of the media that VIPs had staged an elaborate prank for the media. Fellow VIPS waited alongside media at a “alleged” meeting point just to convince the media that T.O.P would surely attend the “alleged” fan meeting. Meanwhile, the true fan meeting was held at a different location where even more fans are gathered to meet the real T.O.P. TALK ABOUT TROLLING!
The idol finally chose to meet his fans instead and left the medias in the prank fan meeting dazed and confused.
In an Instagram post shared afterwards, he apologized to fans and thanked them for their support. He wrote in English: “Even though I am not proud of myself, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the fans who made time and efforts to share this moment with me. I will make sure to reflect on myself and repay the hurts and disappointments I caused to you. Again, thank you. Until I see you again… love, T.O.P”.
Fans trended #LongTimeNoSeeTOP in the lead up to his discharge, with many sharing pictures from the fan meeting, as well as the media stop that never was.
