Can Love Really Bloom By Just Singing a Duet Together?

Everyone can sing, but to sing well and become captivating while you are at it, is not an easy thing to do. 

It’s the same for relationships too! It is never easy to approach and be fond of someone without having any chemistry and understanding with each other. 

TV3’s latest reality program, ‘Lagu Cinta Kita’ gives audiences a fresh approach in searching for the best duet performers. 

For the first time in history, the program will be digitally aired on TV3 Malaysia’s YouTube Channel starting on the 19th of April, every Friday and Saturday at 9:00 PM for an hour. 

Whereas, there will only be three episodes available on television screens (TV3) coming to you starting on the 21st of April, every Sunday at 3:00 PM for two hours. The finale of ‘Lagu Cinta Kita’ will only be broadcast for an hour. 

Adapted from a popular Vietnamese reality program ‘Love at First Song’, ‘Lagu Cinta Kita’ is reality program that combines both singing and dating.

This idea is originally from CJ ENM, a  South Korean media and broadcasting company.

A singer does not only have to own the singing talents and good vocals, but singers must also be sound in finding the chemistry with their duet partners when performing together. 

CEO of Media Prima Berhad, Mr Johan Ishak said, 

“The concept of ‘Lagu Cinta Kita’ will test the couple’s compatibility in getting to know each other beforehand, in order for them to become the best duet couple. 

“We want to produce more duet couples such as Ernie Zakri and Syamel, who have created an incredible phenomenon on the stage of Anugerah Juara Lagu 32. 

“Duet performances that combines two great voices like them will definitely appeal to the public.”

“We would also like to extend our gratitude to our main sponsors for the program, Huawei Nova 4 & 4E and Rexona, and McCafe as our co-sponsors in making this program successful.”

The contestants of the program are of men and women aged between 18 to 45 years old, and the show will be hosted by Nana Mahazan. 

The singing and chemistry on stage will be evaluated by the main juries, Scha Alyahya and Hael Husaini with the help of one guest jury for every week. 

In helping the contestants with their vocal performance, Ajai takes on the role of the program’s vocal advisor. 

The grand duet winner of the program will walk away with a cash prize of RM50,000 and an exclusive token from the sponsors.
