Brought to you exclusively by Sime Darby Property and organised by Universal Music Malaysia, the first lakeside concert at the City of Elmina – “Elmina Lakeside Concert” — will take place on 19 January 2019 at the Elmina Central Park, located within the award-winning City of Elmina township in Shah Alam, the developer announced in a press conference today.
The free admission concert, which is open to all, is a grand welcoming to all City of Elmina residents and an extension of the City of Elmina’s township brand campaign that promotes wellness and exceptional lifestyle in the most significant development along the Guthrie Corridor.
The event will begin at 5.30pm with a myriad of games and activities tailored for families, such as hot air balloon, fire-eater show, 12D Cinema, inflatable obstacle course, and food trucks, before the concert starts at 8pm.
Concert-goers will be entertained by Shane Filan, one of the lead singers and frontman of Irish boy band Westlife; and Fazura, well-known Malaysian songstress and celebrity.
A third act is confirmed to join the concert’s line up, which will be announced by the concert organisers at an appropriate time.
Shane Filan, who rose to fame with Westlife and continued his music journey as a solo artiste when the group disbanded, is expected to perform classic hits of Westlife and new materials from his latest album.
Fazura started her career as an actress and TV personality before including music in her portfolio, which led her to release her debut album last year that was certified gold.

The concert will also mark the opening of the first 36 acres of the 300-acre Elmina Central Park, chosen as the concert’s venue.
The central park is home to Malaysia’s first Inclusive Playground scheduled for completion in the first half of 2019.
Once completed, it will enable children with and without disabilities to play together as equals, while creating opportunities for inter-generational interaction within families and enhancing social cohesion of the wider community.

The City of Elmina township is well-served by an excellent road network. It is easily accessible via the North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), the Federal Highway and the ELITE Highway.
The expressways also link the townships to the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA 2.
The upcoming Damansara-Shah Alam Highway (DASH), which is expected to be completed by early 2020, will significantly shorten travel time to the city centre, further enhancing the connectivity and accessibility of the townships.
The Elmina Interchange provides residents and Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE) users with enhanced accessibility to various areas of the city and surrounding locations.
The interchange also strings together the Denai Alam, Bukit Subang, Elmina West and Elmina East townships, enabling convenient and quick access for residents to enjoy unique facilities and services available at each of the different townships.
Besides the 300-acre Elmina Central Park, City of Elmina’s other features include a 90-kilometre cycling and jogging track; one of the longest tracks in the country.
