Attention to Lay’s future wife as well as fans! Lay has decided to NOT support his future children if they want to join the entertainment industry.
According to Koreaboo, Lay had an interview with Pear Vid and during the session, he revealed that he would not encourage his future son or daughter to follow his path in becoming an idol.
Lay, whose real name is Zhang YiXing, is well known in the entertainment industry as a member of Korea’s hottest boy group, EXO. He is extremely popular in both Korea as well as China, his home country.
However, he does not wish for his kids to go through this path as he did.

When Pear Vid asked Lay if he would encourage youngsters and his son who dreams of being an idol, to chase after their dream, he answered:
“I would encourage any young people with this dream, but if he was my son? I wouldn’t encourage it.”
He then says that he definitely hopes that his son would works as doctor, lawyer artist and more, as he can’t support him to become an idol.
When he was told that another actor was very against his daughter on becoming an actress, Lay completely agreed that he would do the same.
It is understandable for Lay to be overprotective of his children.
The entertainment industry might not be as normal or safe as we think. It is popular for idols to express the hardships they faced during their trainee days as well as the harsh requirements to fulfil as an idol.
Hence, it’s good to see Lay go all out to protect his own children from going into the industry. He has definitely seen and felt all the difficulties of being in this particular field.
