BE PREPARED TO SAY GOODBYE TO ED SHEERAN BECAUSE HE’S GONNA QUIT MUSIC

Ed Sheeran’s announcement of getting engaged to Cherry Seaborn definitely gave a pleasant surprise to the world. He suddenly shared on Instagram a picture of themselves with the caption,

“Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”

Apparently, the couple are high school mates as they both studied at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham, Suffolk. The cutest part is how Ed has had a crush on Cherry ever since then!

The two only started dating in 2015 and things have been going extremely well. If this doesn’t explain things enough, the song Perfect from his third album ÷ is about Cherry.

Of course, that news of their engagement isn’t as earth-shattering as the fact that he will stop making music once he becomes a dad.

He secretly proposed to his beloved girlfriend sometime last year and tells the press that he wants to have kids by the age of 30.

Ed, who is 26 now, says that though he is extremely passionate about music, he will give it up for the sake of his future children, Daily Mail wrote. In his interview, the British lad says he is already prepared for the dad-life.

He explained,

“My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids. I am going to be like, ‘I do not really care anymore as I have another life to take care of’.

“It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, ‘I want to be a good father’.”

Even back in January 2016, in another interview, the ginger told the press that he is all about becoming a father.

“I’ve wanted to be a dad like…last year. I’m ready, let’s go – tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around.”

Seeing as he plans on getting kids by the age of 30, fans have got a maximum of 4 years left to enjoy any new content from him. Once Cherry pops a bun in the oven, it’s over for us.

But of course, being the romantic gentleman that he is, he isn’t pressuring his beloved either.

“I think the wheels should be in motion by the time I’m 30. But it’s not really up to me. It’s a two-way street. It has to be up to the partner as well.”

Aww, how sweet is that. Well, folks, we definitely hope that Ed would not stop his music career as we all just LOVE his songs – particularly the romantic ballads.

However, we also hope that no matter what happens, he and Cherry may be blissful.
