After being slammed with three counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT) and one count of abuse of power, Datuk Seri Najib Razak pleaded not guilty and wished for the matter to be brought into trial.
Tommy Thomas, the Attorney General (AG), told the court that even though the charges against the ex-prime minister does not allow bail, the court will not object any bail offered.
The AG offered RM4 million in bail with two guarantors without any added conditions.
Meanwhile, lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah protested against the amount as he found it to be too high.
Then, Shafee told the court that Najib’s two children will be guarantors for their father.
Does this mean Najib will be able to get away with everything that he’s done thus far?
