Mosque Donations Made Easy & Transparent Thanks to Touch ‘n Go eWallet

TNG Digital Sdn Bhd and Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) announced the ‘7 Tangkai: Jom Infak’ programme today, providing Malaysians a platform to donate easily using the Touch ‘n Go eWallet.

Through this partnership, TNG Digital will help enhance transparency, accountability, and integrity by allowing donations to be made via QR code through the eWallet at participating mosques in Kuala Lumpur.

Users can simply scan the QR code to make their donations and transactions will then be transferred directly to the participating mosques.

Syahrunizam Samsudin, CEO of TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd., said,

“We are shaping new behaviours and changing the way donations are being made.

“Through innovation and inclusive technology, we are catering towards the needs of today’s society.”

TNG Digital aims to convert 40 mosques around Kuala Lumpur under the ‘7 Tangkai – Jom Infak’ programme by the end of this year. To-date, 10 mosques have been QR-enabled, under the ‘7 Tangkai Jom Infak’ programme namely:

  1. Masjid ar-Rahah, Bangsar South
  2. Masjid Al-Imam Al-Ghazali, Menjalara
  3. Masjid Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi, Taman Melati
  4. Masjid Jamek, Kampung Baru
  5. Masjid Muaz Bin Jabal, Setiawangsa
  6. Masjid Abd Ar-Rahman Auf, Taman Yarl
  7. Masjid Ar-Rahman, Jalan Pantai Baru
  8. Masjid Usamah Bin Zaid, Wangsa Maju
  9. Masjid At-Taqwa, Taman Tun Dr Ismail
  10. Masjid Al-Ghufran, Taman Tun Dr Ismail

Tuan Hj Mohd Ajib bin Ismail, Director of Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI), said,

“Our collaboration with TNG Digital marks the start of a strong, fruitful partnership.

“We believe that by using the QR codes, it will open the doors to a whole new level of interaction and engagement between the mosques and its communities.

“QR-enablement for donation is the first step towards remodelling our approach and we hope to establish more programmes and activities with the community through implementation of new technology.”
