Congratulations to Shaza Bae (24) for winning the crown of ‘Dewi Remaja 2019’! Walking away with RM10,000 cash and a trophy, the reigning crown winner recently revealed in an interview that she doesn’t want to keep stepping on the same rake.

During the finals, Shaza Bae triumphantly won over four other tight competitors; Adriana Ghafar (21), Nynaa Harizal (23), Shatirah Amanda (19) and Syamira Izzati (22).

With such title bestowed upon her shoulders, she has also borne a heavy responsibility in giving back to the society as a public figure. In an interview, she mentioned that despite having her own personal social media account, she’s conscious about revealing too much personal matters in the Internet as they might backfire in the future.

What had happened to the former ‘Dewi Remaja 2018’ winner, Haneesya Hanee has definitely greatly impacted her decision. Haneesya, whom after announced as the crown winner for last year’s ‘Dewi Remaja’, became a victim of cyber bullying when footage of her drinking alcohol in a club got exposed on the Internet—which resulted her title to be taken back only few days after her crowning.

“I will be more careful on social media and even if there are things that are too private for me to share to the public, I wouldn’t even share it on ‘close friends’.”
She further added,
“Yes, it may look silly but we need to monitor the things that we post online. Let’s say if there are people out there who talk bad about me, I will not stay silent and will have my stand.”
Shaza was also touched and humbled when Haneesya had dm-ed her on Instagram, congratulating her for her win followed by encouraging words for her future. Shaza immediately shared the screenshot of the message and share it to the her followers.
