Taking to her Instagram Stories, the sensational young Hollywood star Camila Cabello addressed her grievances to her recent body shamming post.
As Camila described it, the star had been searching for photo to post in comradery of her two year anniversary of “Havana”, when she came across some comments shading on her appearance.
“Honestly, the first thing I felt was super insecure just IMAGINING what these pictures must look like, oh no! My Cellulite! Oh no! I didn’t such in my stomach!”
“But then I was like… of course there are bad pictures, of course there are bad angles, my body’s not made of f*cking rock, or all muscle, for that matter. But the saddest part of young girls growing up in an airbrushed word is they’re seeking a perfection that’s not real”
This wasn’t her first time addressing the hate of body shammers! Back in 2018, she had done the same who had conspired of her being pregnant just because she had her hand on her stomach in the pictures. Body shaming and hurtful comments are worryingly the norm of social media and it is a responsibility for stars and celebrities to talk about it!
At the end of the day, Camila further fortify that our bodies are our own and we don’t owe anyone an explanation, or an apology for our appearance.
The singer-songwriter concluded her post with a passionate exhortation for us to take the blinders off when it comes to “ideal” beauty in the public eye.
