Breaking News! This Local Animation Movie Has Reached 6.4 Million At Local Box Office, Surpasses Frozen 2 On GSC Chart

Malaysia animation film Ejen Ali The Movie has grossed 6.4 million at the box office so far, this was achieved three days after its theatrical release in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. 

Datuk Ahmad Izham Omar, Chief Executive Officer of Primeworks Studios said that the numbers has exceeded their expectations, hoping that the numbers would keep increasing around the school holiday period.

“We did not expect such overwhelming response and positive reviews from the audiences, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who support our local product. We were so excited when we received reviews from people who said that  the quality of Ejen Ali The Movie has surpassed some of the international movies. Personally, I hope that people would go to the cinema, bring the entire family to enjoy the movie during the school break”

Previously, Ejen Ali The Movie topped the Malaysian box office charts with more than 1.8 M on its first day release. This marks the first new record for a local animation movie in Malaysia. 

Ejen Ali The Movie tells the story of a 12 year old Ali, who is an accidental recruit at secret spy agency Meta Advice Tactical Agency (MATA). Ali is surprised to discover that he is no longer the only master of the Infinity Retinal Intelligence System (IRIS) gadget since MATA has now upgraded to IRIS Neo for all MATA agents.

When the new invention leads Ali to question his place and usefulness to MATA, he is approached by a rogue figure who claims to know about a surprising personal connection to Ali. Risking his loyalty to MATA, Ejen Ali embarks on a thrilling chase to unravel these mysterious links.
