Follow These Women as They Change the Government Step by Step

These days we’re seeing more females in leadership roles, however, it’s still something difficult to achieve in several countries. Take for example, Brazil whose cabinet only contain two women out of 22 people.

Eighty per cent of businesses in Malaysia now have at least one woman on their senior management team compared with the global average of 75 per cent, according to Grant Thornton International Ltd’s annual Women in Business Report.

The percentage of women in senior management in Malaysia, meanwhile, has increased to 28 per cent in 2018 from 24 per cent in 2017 – the highest since 2011, NST wrote.

Of course, other countries such as the United Kingdom have Queen Elizabeth II, Theresa May, Helen Sharman, etc. in the front of things.

At the same time, a few women in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, intend to shake up President Jair Bolsonaro’s right wing populist government and lack of females in it.

These ladies joined forces to shake up the world of politics and, since the start of the year, they’ve shared a seat in the newly-formed regional parliament.

Following their successful election in the fall of 2018, the work of these five fighters is only just beginning. Global 3000 met these women leaders.
