HBO ANNOUNCES GAME OF THRONES SEASON 8 TO BE RELEASED IN 2019

Back in 2016, rumours spread that season 7 of Game of Thrones would be the very last season ever. Completely upset at such a shocking news, the internet went on a frenzy.

Obviously, no proper GoT fan could bear to know that their favourite TV series is coming to an end. Thankfully, producers came out to announce that it won’t be season 7 to end the fantasy show – it’s season 8.

Well, at least we can all look forward to 1 extra epic season right? Yes, we all can anticipate the finale where the White Walkers finally meet with humans (and dragons) in an epic war.

HOWEVER, things aren’t as peachy and fun as we expect it to be. Yes, there will be a season 8 to wrap up Game of Thrones. Unfortunately, we have to wait until 2019 for it.

Though we’ve all heard of this rumour throughout 2017, HBO has finally confirmed this news and subsequently broke a million hearts across the world.

This final season is truly unorthodox as not only do we have to wait an extra year for it, there will only be 6 episodes instead of the usual 10 as well!

Okay, season 7 did only air 7 episodes, but why not a full 10-episode season 8, right?

HBO made this heart-wrenching announcement on their Twitter on January 5, 2018. Talk about a horrible start for the new year for all GoT fans.

Indeed, many people are understandably upset as all 7 seasons have been building up to this epic finale, so how in the world are they going to wrap everything up in just 6 episodes?

Some people are suggesting that each episode be about 1.5 to 2 hours long to compensate for the fewer episodes. Meanwhile, some people are even demanding for season 9!

What do you guys think though? Is 6 episodes really enough?
