Rush Hour 4 is Finally Happening for Real!

The all time classic action comedy movie Rush Hour 4 is finally happening as confirmed by Chris Tucker!

Rush Hour 4 is the fourth instalment of the iconic Rush Hour franchise. Original cast members such as Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are confirmed to make their comeback as Los Angeles Police, Detective Carter and Hong Kong Police, Detective Inspector Lee respectively.

Chris validated the news through ESPN’s podcast called “The Plug.”:

“It’s definite. It’s happening.

“This is going to be the one. The rush of all rushes.

“Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people won’t ever forget this.”

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the first Rush Hour movie.

Before Chris announced this information, Jackie actually spilt some details on the possibility of the return of the movie. What made them hesitate all these while was because they could not agree on the same script.

Now, it seems like they have finally agreed on one script.

Jackie also said:

“Rush Hour 4, we’re all like old men, before we get old, I tell Chris Tucker, before we get old, please do the Rush Hour 4.”

Furthermore, there is still no news on who is the director for the latest sequel, as Brett Ratner, who had directed all three Rush Hour movies before is currently facing numerous sexual harassment allegations. 

The first film was released in 1998. Jackie and Chris acted as mismatched cops who went into a rescue mission to save the Chinese consul’s kidnapped daughter. The success of the film is unbelievable as it earned over US$244 million (RM955 million) worldwide!

Finally everyone’s all time favourite duo are back! Although dates are not confirmed yet, let’s just hope that we can watch this movie as soon as possible!
