One of the biggest and most successful movies in 2016 is finally getting the sequel it deserves! The sequel to the hit film “Train To Busan” which will carry a new name “Peninsula” has been confirmed for its exact premiere date.
As reported, the director of “Peninsula”—Yeon Sang Ho—revealed to have set the movie in August 20200, specifically August 12, 2020 to be exact.
However, despite it being aimed for a summer release, no decisions regarding specific details for premiere dates in outside of South Korea is yet to be made.
“Peninsula” is teased to be taken place in the same universe as characters make a bid to leave South Korea after it’s apocalyptic zombie domination. Aside from a whole new story line, new set of cast members have also been confirmed—consisting of Kang Dong Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Lee Re, Kwon Hae Ryo, Kim Min Jae and Goo Kyo Hwan.
But wouldn’t it be a shame if they didn’t put a Gong Yoo cameo in it?
