You Meet Your Idol by Chance and He Invites You Home…Would You Follow?

We’ve all got someone we look up to, be it a singer, actor, writer or someone who’s made an achievement worth praising.

Sometimes, our idols are our own friends and family but strangers are often put on the pedestal too.

So, what would you do if you met your idol by chance for the very first time and they invite you back to their home?

Farah Ahmad is one lucky lady who met her favourite author Ridhwan Saidi by chance at the book store. Like most aspiring writers, Farah asked Ridhwan for tips on how to write better.

Ridhwan wasn’t sure what he could say to help the lady so he thought he’d show it to her instead…at his own home.

Happily married to a wonderful man, Farah hesitated walking into the author’s home. But determined to chase her dreams, she walked in anyways.

Worried for her safety, the woman made sure that she looked decent and in no way giving any signs that she was interested in him in other ways.

Of course, Ridhwan wasn’t trying to take advantage of her anyways. He really did wanted to show Farah what helps give him inspiration to write.

The key was Kopi Luwak.

Kopi Luwak is a special type of coffee which beans are made out of partly-ingested coffee cherries. The cherries are eaten by the Asian palm civet (called Luwak in Indonesia) and then pooped out as coffee beans.

The faecal matter is then collected and processed into coffee. Due to its unique and time-consuming method of producing, Kopi Luwak is one of the most expensive coffees in the world.

Ridhwan made a cup of the special aromatic coffee and served it to Farah. Upon tasting it, she was suddenly inspired to write.

But a shocking twist takes place along the line and things become darker than intended!

Watch as everything unfold in the 2-episode segment of the KOPI Original tonton series.
