Malaysian Fans Felt Like True ‘Winners’ as They Watch Winner Perform Live

After its labelmate and fellow K-Pop group iKon held its concert last Saturday at Stadium Malawati, it was Winner’s turn to be in the spotlight.

Around 6,500 Winner fans had filled the indoor stadium to witness the group’s show, which was part of its 2018 Everywhere Tour.

Marking its maiden solo concert in Malaysia after it’s official debut in 2014, the four-member outfit did not disappoint and delivered stunning vocals, sleek choreography and excellent showmanship.

Jinu, Hoony, Mino and Yoon gave a hefty setlist of more than 20 songs including Empty, Everyday, Immature, Love Me Love Me, Island and their best-selling chart-topper Really Really.

Leader and main vocalist Yoon even surprised fans with a brief yet soulful rendition of John Legend’s worldwide hit, All Of Me, which the crowd gladly sang along to.

Throughout the show, the fans waved their official Winner lightstick which emitted a bright mixture of white, blue and purple lights, creating a pretty sight inside the stadium.

Mino who thanked the audiences for making time for them said: “This has been an unforgettable day for us. I hope the vibe will remain as so when we return in future,” he said.

Formed via the 2013 reality survival programme WIN: Who is Next, Winner made its debut in 2014 under YG Entertainment and currently has two albums under its belt.

Its first performance in Kuala Lumpur was in 2014 as guest performer at labelmate 2NE1’s concert.

Malaysia is the first Southeast Asian stop for Winner’s 2018 Everywhere Tour. Upcoming stops include Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta, Hong Kong and Singapore.
