Ola Bola is undoubtedly one of the best stories told in the recent years. The movie itself broke local box offices and swept the nation into unity regardless of age, race, religion, etc.
It was a symbolic story of harmony and even patriotism, wrapped around the passion for football. When the movie was ultimately taken down from cinemas after a couple of months, Malaysians still craved for more of the show.
That was when Ola Bola the Musical came into the scene in 2018, after more than 2 years of the movie’s first showing.
Re-imagined for the stage by Tiara Jacquelina, through heart-tugging lyrics, fascinating choreography and stellar acting, the musical starts off on a light-hearted note with the very personable Harimau Malaya team who continue to train passionately despite their failure to reach the 1976 Olympics.
The musical adaptation not only received great response, all shows were sold out! The public demanded for more and here it is, a Season 2 of Ola Bola the Musical which will be starting on the 18th of February, 2019.
It will be showing only until the 3rd of March at Istana Budaya KL.
