Looking demure in her green dress at the 2019 Golden Globes’ Red Carpet in Beverly Hills today, actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh created a buzz on social media over a special jewellery she had on.
The 56-year-old-artiste who played matriarch Eleanor Young in the widely successful rom-com Crazy Rich Asians (CRA), had on the exact same emerald ring worn by her character in the film.
Fans of CRA would know the significance of the ring to the story, as it is the ring that Eleanor gave to her son Nick Young (Henry Golding) to propose to Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) when she finally gave them her blessing to get married.
A little fun fact about the emerald ring; it actually belongs to Yeoh!

On Twitter, fans were thrilled to see Yeoh bringing a piece of CRA with her to the awards show.
“Michelle Yeoh is wearing the ring from the movie OMG my heart,” tweeted a fan.
Meanwhile, the actress shared some photos on her Instagram from the prestigious event, which featured her with several Hollywood A-listers.
Besides one with A Star Is Born actor-director Bradley Cooper, photos from her Instagram also showed that she shared the same table with Lady Gaga.
