The internet is currently going crazy over news of Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin’s alleged marriage plans. Kpop news site such as Koreaboo and Soompi reported that the Big Bang member plans to wed his long time girlfriend in February 2018.
The seemingly sudden and rushed plans are due to Taeyang’s enlistment into the army for his mandatory service in mid 2018. Every Korean men are required to service in their national service for 2 years before they turn 35-years-old.
Taeyang’s agency, YG Entertainment, has confirmed this piece of news earlier. In a statement, they said,
“It’s true Taeyang is getting married next February. Their wedding will take place before he enlists in the army.”
Since Taeyang will be turning 30 next year, he doesn’t have anymore time to lose. If he fails to serve in the military without a valid reason such as health or mental issues, then he will be severely punished by the law.
He could be jailed, fined and be assigned to community service. Besides that, South Koreans terribly frown upon those who purposely try to skip their enlistment.

Regardless, Hyo Rin’s agency, Plum Entertainment, reported that they were unaware about such arrangements.
They said,
“We had no idea of her talks of marriage and we will need to confirm with her.”
An Indonesian news portal also reported that Taeyang and Hyo Rin could have been surveying Bali as one of their wedding spots. The couple had went over to the exotic land to attend a private wedding at Bulgari resort.
Bali has been known to be one of the most romantic spots in South East Asia for the longest of time. Many weddings take place on the beautiful beaches over there all the time.

Regardless, Yang Hyun Suk, YG Entertainment’s CEO, totally supports Taeyang and Hyo Rin’s relationship since day one. He once said,
“It’s Taeyang’s first girlfriend. It is something to congratulate and the YG family are all congratulating him.”
