There Will be TWO Harry Potter Mobile Games Releasing This Year!

Great news, Potterheads. We may not have gotten our owl letters at the age of 11 but we can surely live out the Hogwarts life we’ve all dreamed of.

It’s all thanks to these two games which will be released this year – Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite!

According to NMEHarry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is developed by Jam City and will allow players to create a character ala the Sims-style.

You get to choose between the four houses, attend classes, learn spells and magical stuffs, and even interact with other students.

In this game, you’ll explore Hogwarts just like how any typical student would.

As for Niantic’s Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, it will mimic the company’s current most famous game, Pokemon GO.

In this app, players can explore ‘real world’ places and discover some mysterious artefacts, cast a few spells and even meet some of those legendary beasts. You can also run into some of the characters from the movie!

The app will be pretty similar to the Pokemon GO game where it uses your phone’s GPS and camera but with a Harry Potter ‘filter’ around you.

As for now, only the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery‘s release date has been announced which is April 25th, 2018. The game is available on both iOS and Android.

Meanwhile, the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite app will be released later but definitely sometime within 2018.

Who else is excited for these new games?

I’ve got my Hufflepuff scarf on already!
