Actress Julia Roberts and Michell Obama will be landing on Kuala Lumpur next week for a plenary conversation at the Obama Foundation’s inaugural “Leaders: Asia-Pacific” event.

The conversation will be held on December 12th, and will be moderated by former Miss Malaysia and activist Deborah Henry.

Prior Malaysia, the wife of the former US president Barrack Obama and Roberts will be travelling to Vietnam on December 9th in behalf of the Obama Foundation’s Girl Opportunity Alliance. The event was envisioned meet local girls education organizations and beneficiaries of programmes that help adolescent girls reach their full potential through education.

The programme will gather 200 leaders from 33 countries and territories in the Asia Pacific starting — compromising public, private and even non-profit sectors on the December 10th until the 14th in Kuala Lumpur.

The programme is expected to be filled with plenary sessions, skill-building workshops, as well as leadership training.
Although the event is closed to the public, some of the plenary sessions will be made available via live-stream at obama.org.
