No Lah, Spongebob Squarepants is NOT Ending Anytime Soon

“Are you ready kids? Aye aye, captain. I can’t hear you! Ohh…who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Spongebob Squarepants!”

Anyone remembers the bearded pirate with a parrot on his shoulder who sang this song? Our inner child as well as kids these days would be all too familiar with the tune and lyrics to the opening theme song of Spongebob Squarepants.

However, over the past weekend, there were rumours going around about the cartoon series coming to an end on March 1st, 2018!

A verified “SpongeBob SquarePants” Twitter account tweeted about the show is going to end soon and credited the cartoon’s fame to all viewers.

To make things even more heartfelt, the account even included a teary-eyed Spongebob too!

The post definitely got people freaking out and of course heartbroken too.

According to IndyStar, the rumour has been certified as fake! The official Spongebob Squarepants’s Twitter account is confirmed that they did not post such announcements.

Well, somebody’s Photoshop skills are really good then.

Besides, Entertainment Weekly has reinstated that the iconic cartoon series will be extended and renewed through 2019 and adding 26 more episodes too!

This isn’t exactly a major surprise either as there have been countless baseless accusations on the end of Spongebob Squarepants for years now.

One of the biggest hoaxes was reported by Snope which claimed that the show was going to end in 2013 and on October 17th, 2016. The lies spread like wildfire and caused major uproars from viewers. 

Well, chill out Spongebob Squarepants fans, this is not the last of him!

The show will definitely not end soon as it still has a long way to go! SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy will be by our side for least another year.
