Calling All LEGO Fans, Now There’s A Building Set That Helps Adults Reduce Stress

Nope, LEGO isn’t just for kids. Adults with passion and a lot of time on their hands can get busy too with these globally popular building blocks.

Having said that, you still can’t deny that assembling these little buggers can sometimes get pretty challenging. In no time, you’ll feel a headache coming and it will ruin your interest to actually finish the project.

Besides, being an adult in general is already tough enough for some with plenty of life commitments to take care of.

Well, not to worry, brick fans. If you feel stressed from your daily life, there’s still a LEGO set you can work on. In fact, it may just wash away all of your tension and pressure.

The Danish toymaker has come up with a set called Forma, that is aimed to improve your mental wellbeing.

The LEGO pieces are to be assembled to create the skeleton of a fish, which is then “clothed” in customisable skins. It’s definitely more technical that your regular LEGO sets.

It is thought that combining organic forms with mechanical work can help reduce stress as well as anxiety.

Besides featuring “technic elements” that are used to give more complicated technical functions, Forma also includes a crankshaft and gear system that makes the fish move. Whoa!

This project was launched by LEGO Ideas, the brand’s platform for open source innovation, but it’s currently crowdfunded via IndieGoGo.

See how it works in the video below.
