People are Suspecting Avicii Died of Overdose

Another superstar has unfortunately left the world.

Swedish famous DJ and producer, Tim Bergling also known as Avicii has been announced to be dead on Friday.

Avicii had won multiple American Music Awards, Billboard music awards and MTV Europe Music awards for his legendary EDM work.

According to Reuters, the famous DJ has been found dead at the age of 28 on Friday. His U.S publicist released a statement which said:

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii.

“The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time.”

The musician was in Oman during the time of his death which has raised many questions as no one knows why he was there at the time of death.

Worst of all, there was no cause of death revealed which makes everyone all the more suspicious. A lot of people are saying that it could be overdose or suicide.

Meanwhile, Deadmau5 said in a Twitter post:

“Nobody can deny what he has accomplished and done for modern dance music and im very proud of him.”

Former One Direction member Liam Payne also tweeted:

“Very very sad news way (too) young … what a talent he was.”

Before his death, Avicii told Billboard Magazine that he decided to stop touring in 2016 for health reasons.

This is because 3 years earlier, he underwent surgery for a ruptured appendix and a blocked gall bladder. Then in 2012, he was hospitalised again for pancreatitis. He said :

“The scene was not for me. It was not the shows and not the music. It was always the other stuff surrounding it that never came naturally to me.”

“I’m more of an introverted person in general. It was always very hard for me. I took on board too much negative energy, I think.”

Avicii is definitely a household name the moment anyone mentions EDM. He is one of the initial DJs to bring electronic music into the pop scene which makes him such a legend in everyone’s eyes.

The weekend has been doused with such a sad news and we all hope that Avicii can now rest in peace.
