At the end of last year, there were rumours flying around that YG Entertainment might be adding a new member to BLACKPINK.
The rumour explicitly stated that the member will be joining from the survival reality show called Mix Nine. But fans were extremely against it.
A discussion post on Allkpop which started in November, 2017, showed that many thought of the idea of a fifth member as “ridiculous and unnecessary”.
Some of the comments include:
“No new members please. They’re perfect as is.”
“They don’t need any more members, they’ve got more than enough talent in the group already. Just give them some [new] songs.”
However, the show ended in January, 2018 but there haven’t been any news of a 5th member…until now that is.
It was recently revealed that there’s a new member in BLACKPINK but people are extremely happy about it.
The name of the 5th person is Big Bang’s Seungri!
Okay, so he isn’t exactly an official member but he recently posted a video of him dancing along with the girl group and their latest song, DDU-DU DDU-DU.
But things turned hilarious when the song changed to Daler Mehndi’s Tunak Tunak Tun.
