Oh no! It seems like it’s Onew’s turn to go into the military for his national service at the end of this year. Fans are obviously not looking forward to it but SM Entertainment has made an official statement regarding this.
However, Onew doesn’t want his enlistment to be hyped.
According to Allkpop, they wrote,
“Onew is enlisting on December 10. He wishes to quietly enlist, so to respect his wishes, we won’t be revealing his enlistment time or base camp location.
“We won’t be holding any separate events either.”
Seeing as Onew will be the first SHINee member to do his mandatory military service, fans are pretty worried about seeing their oppa go.
Some fans wrote,
“Hoping Onew will not get injured during his service.”
“I hate to see December come but I’m already looking forward to October 2020.”
The leader of SHINee will be expected to serve as an active duty soldier.
