2019 is fast approaching and a bunch of you probably haven’t even thought about how you’ll ring it in.

Well, here are a few places you can consider to celebrate New Year’s Eve with your loved ones.

1. The Upper House – Hong Kong

One of Hong Kong’s most sought-after hotels, The Upper House will be celebrating the festive season in style with decadent feasts at the renowned Café Gray Deluxe, elegant decorations, and a New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner.

Set against the panoramic backdrop of Victoria Harbour and the city’s incredible annual firework display, Café Gray Deluxe creates the perfect atmosphere for a spectacular New Year’s Eve countdown.

Highlights of the exquisitely designed Gala Dinner menu include Cold Smoked Mount Cook Salmon Fleurettes, Roasted Pigeon with Foie Gras Emulsion, and Chocolate Marquise with Williams Pear.

From now until 31st December 2018, The Upper House will be offering a Festive Season room package, with rates starting from HK$5,000 per room per night.

Guests who stay for two or more consecutive nights will also receive HK$800 to spend at Café Gray Deluxe, priority table reservation at Café Gray Deluxe during the festive season, complimentary Welcome Drink at Café Gray Deluxe, roundtrip Airport Transfers for the price of one-way, complimentary room upgrade and late check-out.

2. The Sanchaya – Bintan Island

The most stylish estate on Indonesia’s Bintan Island, The Sanchaya has unveiled an extravagant program of Christmas activities to see 2018 out with a bang.

Located just 50 minutes away from Singapore, the beachfront property boasts colonial-inspired design features and a stately home atmosphere, complete with breathtaking views across the crystal clear ocean.

The most glamorous event of The Sanchaya’s calendar will be the annual New Year’s Eve gathering.

The exclusive evening is set to transport guests on a culinary journey in a setting reminiscent of the most extravagant of private house parties – with DJ Patrick Oliver spinning an energetic set to raise the tempo.

His unique, cutting-edge sound will create the backdrop for The Sanchaya’s grown-up affair, set to be full of indulgence, with a glorious firework display to mark the strike of midnight.

The following morning, guests can ease into the New Year over a recovery brunch, complete with DIY Bloody Mary and Champagne station.

3. The Slate – Phuket

Phuket’s designer hotel, The Slate, has a New Year’s Eve line-up to keep the whole family entertained.

Adults can enjoy a special dinner at either Rivet or Black Ginger, while families with little ones under the age of 14 will be treated to an international feast at Tine Mine restaurant.

Rivet will be serving a 9-course Japanese set menu, set to groovy jazz beats amidst the subtly lit industrial-chic setting, including a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine for 2.

Menu highlights include the paper thin Marugoban (monkfish) with ponzu and the Wagyu striploin curry futomaki tempura.

Black Ginger, which magically floats on a deck above a lagoon under the twilight sky, will be serving a 4-course Thai set menu that showcases the contrasting flavours of Southern Thai cuisine.

Recently awarded recognition from the Michelin Guide’s first ever foray into Phuket, Black Ginger’s menu includes highlights such as grilled Canadian lobster with spicy chili lime sauce and a signature crab meat curry with rice noodles and fresh vegetables.

Post-dinner festivities will then kick off for the little ones who can enjoy activities and a movie night in the Mabe suite, while the adults make their way to a magical “Jungle Themed Night” at Jomon Pavillion, with complimentary bubbly set to the pumping beats of a resident DJ
