These 5 Hairstyles Will Be Popular In 2019, According To This Celebrity Hairstylist

People say, “new year, new me”. But hey, if you’re looking to “upgrade” yourself to an even better individual, you might as well switch up your hairstyle too.

Patrick Kyle, a celebrity hairstylist who has worked with Zara Larson, Ellie Kemper and Rachel Brosnahan, knows exactly which haircuts will be many ladies’ favourite next year.

Below are five of them that he foresees will become huge trends; some of them are old-school, while others are inventively new. So be inspired for your next hair appointment!

1. Pixie

Chopping off a huge chunk of your long hair requires a big commitment, but Kyle recommends it. “The pixie is classic, versatile, chic, and easy to style,” he says. “Most would not dare, but this haircut looks awesome on so many people.”

Well, the expert has spoken.

2. Long Bob

A bob cut maybe is too short for your comfort, so keep it slightly longer. Now it’s called a”Lob”, cut just above the shoulders, at shoulder level or just below.

This particular haircut is nothing new, but Kyle swears that it’s still be trendy next year. “They’re so versatile and easy to style.” Hmm… looks like it.

3. Baby Bangs With a Lob

You can also try to add a sense of youthfulness to your Lob with a fringe. Kyle suggests short or thin bangs if you feel like undergoing a drastic change for your hair looks.

“If you don’t want to make commitment, part your hair in the middle and attach a faux fringe extension and flat iron.”

4. Long layers

A straight and proper cut is sooo last century! Try adding a bit of texture and variety to the hairstyle by opting for layers. This style is good too if you’re not ready for a big chop.

“Add extensions for added fullness or to get even longer length,” he suggests.

5. 70s Shag

This is one of those that looks old-school, but Kyle recommends it as the ultimate transitional style. He says the soft and thin fringe grows out so well and looks great on any length hair.

“Anyone growing out a bob should opt for this amazing cut, plus you get bangs without the full commitment. When they grow out, you get face-framing layers.”

So, which one is your favourite? Mine is the Lob.
