Break Fast With These Delicious Meals this Ramadan by Resorts World Genting

That time of year has come again, and it is just around the corner! Muslim all over the world will embark on a month-long spiritual commemoration of one of the Five Pillars of Islam. 

The holy month of Ramadan is a time of adherence and celebration, and Resorts World Genting once again invites all Malaysians and international guests to break their daily fast on the mountaintop this May, while counting down to the beginning of Syawal and Hari Raya Aidilfitri on June 5.

Three restaurants of Resorts World Genting will be offering Ramadan deals with a variety and a delicacy range of menus to tickle the taste buds of those who are fasting which include; the famous Ramadan Buffet at the Rajawali Coffee House at Resorts World Awana, SkyAvenue’s Medan Selera Food Court and SkyAvenue’s Jom Makan stalls. 

Let’s check out the menu and super deals that we will be anticipating for Ramadan! 

1. Rajawali Coffee House, Resorts World Awana

The buffet features over a hundred dishes, and the theme for the ramadan buffet this year is Bazar Malam di Awana – a collection of food and drink stalls arranged like a vibrant pasar malam

The buffet starts of with an international spread of appetisers, including the Japanese colonial-era salads like Pegaga, Ulam Raja, Terung Pipit, Terung Bulu, Petai, Pucuk Janggus, and Jantung Pisang

There is also a Mendeka Kerabu station which features all sorts of salads like prawn, squid, fish and crab, as well as traditional pickles like Jeruk Nyonya Masdor, Jeruk Kelubi, Jeruk Mempelam and Jeruk Salak

The feast than moves into the main course with over 15-20 stalls serving up Malay specialities from across the country. 

At the main Ronie’s Stall, a whole Roasted Australian Lamb is presented in all its glory with Homemade Black Pepper Sauce and Mint Sauce.

Other stalls include ones specialising in Ayam Percik, in Otak-Otak and Satay, in Tempura-style Deep-fried Seafood, in Mamak favourites like Murtabak and Roti Canai, in Nasi Kerabu/Nasi lemak, in Kebabs and in Laksa and noodles such as Mee Jawa and Mee Rebus

There is even a stall for fragrant Pais Ikan Tempoyak, a luscious spread of Nasi Kandar/Briyani at Gopal’s Stall, a sizzling Ram lee WoW burger stall, a touch of Chinese at Cho’s Local Counter and aromatic broths at the Sup Meletup ‘Abe’ Awana stall. 

Do not miss out on the main speciality of Rajawali, which is the ‘Awana Rendang Tok‘! 

Completing the buffet is a full spread of soups, breads and rice. Remember to save some space for snacks like Keropok Lekor, Apam Balik, Durian Goreng, Pisang Bakar Kelapa Parut/Cempedak Goreng and Rojak. And, of course, a spread of premium dates imported from the Middle East – which is the traditional way to break fast. 

Cool down and sweeten up with the freshest of local fruits at the Pondok Buah stall like Watermelon, Nangka, Dragonfruit, Rambutan, Bananas and Papayas or tuck into Rajawali’s amazing seletion of over 40 Malay kuih at Taman Manisan ‘Che Ra’ including Kueh Lapis, Kueh Talam, Kueh Lompang, Ondeh-ondeh, Kueh Dangai, Kueh Akok, Kueh Bingka, Kueh Kole Kacang, Kueh Lompat Tikam, Badak Berendam and Kueh Bunga Tanjung

Other dessert options includes Cendol and Ais Batu Campur, warm stews like Bubur Cha-Cha, Pengat Pisang Raja and Bubur Penambah Rase, and traditional pasar malam drinks like Air Sirap Bandung, Air Sirap Selasih, Air Mata Kucing, Air Tebu or Air Jambu Batu

Guests will be entertained with a Ghazal performance on every weekend.

2. Medan Selera Food Court, Lower Ground Floor of SkyAvenue

The Medan Selera food court is where favourite dishes from all over Malaysia and the world are celebrated. An all-day promotion dining set will be available here at the food court. 

The promotional sets will also be available for non-muslims too! Sharing is caring and all of this delicious goodness is for everyone in the holy month of Ramadan. 

The set of meal consists of 1 main course, 1 assorted jelly, 3 pieces of dates, and 1 drink for RM21.90 per set. If you do not want to dine in, you can take away the set, but there will be additional charges for the food packaging. 

The promotional set meals are available from 11am – 9pm (Monday – Thursday) or 11am – 10pm (Friday – Sunday, Public Holidays), observing guests may choose to break their fast at sundown with a main course choice of Nasi Ayam Penyet, Nasi Kukus Ayam Berempah, Nasi Minyak Ayam Percik, Murtabak Ayam or Murtabak Daging. 

The meals are heart-warming and tummy filling, something to look forward to for breaking fast. 


3. Jom Makan stalls, Level 4 of SkyAvenue

The stalls will be offering a mouth-watering selection of local favourites that is enjoyed by every Malaysian from 9am to 9pm. 

There are four stalls available here which are the Sri Paandi Curry House, Nasi Lemak, Mi Kari and the Nasi Ayam Claypot stall.

With four stalls and a drinks station for Ramadan, guests will be able to order delicious dishes such as Nasi Ayam, Nasi Ayam Claypot, Mee Rojak, Kuey Teow Goreng, Mee Kari, Nasi Goreng Kampung, Nasi Goreng Petai, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Lemak Kunyit, Fried Mee, Banana Leaf Rice, Roti Naan and Tandoori Chicken. 

The food are prepared by Resorts World Genting’s finest chefs; Chef Mohan, Chef Mutu, Chef Mohanraj and Chef Muthukrishnan.

You can select a main course and complete it with a drink (including Orang Juice, Lemonade, Iced Lemon Team Masala Tea, Ginger Tea and Teh Tarik) and an Ais Kacang or Cendol for desserts at only RM28 per set. 

The set serves a complete meal just perfect to revive and gain back the energy needed for the next day of fasting and also for tarawih prayers. 

The Jom Makan Ramadan set will be available from 9am – 9pm daily. The restaurants from the Jom Makan stalls are more closer to home and brings out all the cultures in Malaysia.

The delightful choices of food will make you enjoy your breaking fast moment as the taste is very traditional and rich in flavour.

The Rajawali Coffee House, Medan Selera and Jom Makan are halal-certified food outlets in Resorts World Genting. The Ramadan promotions at all three outlets run from 6 May to 4 June, 2019.
