Malaysia is proud the present its first ever MMA film that features the collaboration of four of the nations major media powerhouses; Primeworks Studios, Astro Shaw, Infinitus Gold and mm2 Entertainment.
Starring Zul Ariffin, Remy Ishak and Mira Filzah, “Sangkar” is set to be out into the big screens across two other neighbouring countries aside from Malaysia; Brunei and Singapore very soon.
Directed by multiple award winner Kabir Bhatia, “Sangkar” will stupefy the viewers with its tantalizing and groundbreaking high-quality screenplay.
Along with the stars, the amazing line of casts like Adam Mika, Ray, Fadlan Hazim, Aman Graseka and an international MMA athlete James “Sledgehammer” McSweeney will definitely add sparks and drama to the story.
“Sangkar” tells the story of two MMA fighters, Adam and Johan, who get into a fight outside the ring, resulting in Johan getting seriously injured. Filled with guilt, Adam attempts to redeem himself by resorting to underground fights for monetary gains, which he chooses to share with Johan’s family.
On the other hand, Johan faces his own struggles and continues to fight for his health for the sake of his family. Will both Adam and John be able to conquer their obstacles and misfortunes for a better future?
Not only that, the official theme song for “Sangkar” called “Fighter” is one to look up to! Composed by local rapper Aman RA and Navigator, “Fighter” performed by Aman RA is an upbeat hip-hop song that tells the story of a challenger in its raps whilst keeping your heads nod to be bass-blasting beat! “Fighter” is now out on Spotify.

For the hardcore fans, there’s MORE goodies coming up! The casts of “Sangkar” will be out in the field for its roadshows in Kedah, Penang and Perak on August 30th and September 1st, while Johor and Melaka from September 6th to the 8th!
