Why Not Celebrate Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day in Hong Kong

CHINESE NEW YEAR

Welcome in the Year of the Pig at Café Gray Deluxe and enjoy the spectacular 23-minute firework show on 6 February, the second day of Chinese New Year.

Dine on a decadent five-course menu with hints of Chinese flavour, featuring Double Boiled Oxtail Consommé with Truffle Steamed Bun and Smoked Bone Marrow Butter, Diver Scallops with Jerusalem Artichokes and Soy Roasted Hazelnuts, Braised Wagyu Beef Cheeks with Sweet Potato Fondant, Pickled Carrots, Daikon and Lotus Root.

A refreshing Chilled Soup of Ginger and Sago with Pear Sorbet, as well as Milk Chocolate Mousse with Citrus Compôte and Mandarin Gelato complete the occasion.

Five-course menu priced at HK$1,388 per person (6:00pm – 9:30pm)

Limited à la carte menu available after 9:30pm.
Vegetarian and children’s menus are also available upon request.
Fireworks begin at 8:00pm.

Guests can also enjoy seasonally inspired cocktails at Café Gray Bar.

Blossom – a warm Jasmine tea-based cocktail with hues of pink and infused with berries, and Pocket Money – the refined sweetness from red dates is complemented by the acidity of passionfruit and elderflower – the perfect drink for a prosperous year to come.

Embrace the New Year with the Chinese New Year room package, available from 27 January to 15 February.

Rates starting from HK$4,600 with a minimum two-night stay, benefits include daily breakfast at Café Gray Deluxe, HK$500 House credit and return airport transfers for the price of a one-way transfer.

Guests can also partake in the festivities with a traditional lion dance taking place on Tuesday 12 February, 9am at the hotel entrance.

 

VALENTINE’S DAY

Whisk loved ones away to Café Gray Deluxe this Valentine’s Day, for a candlelit dining experience with breath-taking
views of the city.

The modern European four-course dinner menu starts with Seared Tuna with Garlic Ponzu, Oscietra Caviar and Seaweed Oil, then Charred Patagonian Toothfish with Champagne Froth and Sweet Potato-Tangerine Gnocchi, followed by savoury Coffee Rubbed Short Rib with Smoked Sichuan Pepper and Baked Turnip.

Finish the evening with Strawberry Pavlova with Mascarpone Mousseline and Rosé Champagne Sorbet, as well as Café Gray’s much-loved Petits Fours and Chocolates.

The five-course menu offers an additional dish of Lobster Consommé with Crab Ravioli and Pickled Radish.

Four-course menu priced at HK$1,150 per person (6:00pm – 8:00pm)
Five-course menu priced at HK$1,550 per person (8:30pm – late)

Share the contrasting You & Me cocktails with a significant other at Café Gray Bar.

A sweet and floral gin-based cocktail infused with rose, hibiscus flower and oolong tea, meets the other – strong and smooth, mixed with VSOP, bourbon, bitters, and a subtle hint of smokiness.
