These 21 Photos Show Princess Beatrice Is The Queen Of Bizarre-Looking Hats

For those who don’t know (at least I didn’t), the British royal protocol requires the women to wear hats to all official events.

According to BBC, apparently it’s been an agreement since before the 1950s, when upper class and royal women rarely showed their hair in public. Wow!

And usually these hats are the fancy kind but take the word “fancy” lightly.

If you’ve been following royal events, you’ll notice that most of the time the ladies would opt for the oddest and unusual designs. As someone who isn’t used to such fashion, you can’t help but wonder how they pull it off.

You might think it’s weird but Princess Beatrice, Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter, uses her headwear to add a statement to her overall fashion.

The eighth royal in line for the British throne is usually shy in personality and stays out of the limelight (as compared to her sister Eugenie), so perhaps this is how she wants to stand out.

From the piece she wore to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011 to the feathered number she chose for other royal ceremonies, you can’t deny that she knows how to work them.

Let’s check out 30 fashion moments in her life where her hat game can’t be ignored. Sometimes you’d wonder how they stay on her head!
